American medicine has become one big chemical drug vending machine

pharmaceuticalsIronically, the same Greek mathematician who invented the syringe 2,000 years ago also created the very first vending machine. Some of the oldest vending machines dispensed holy water in Egyptian temples, but these days mostly what you get is sodas and junk food snacks. It only makes sense that most vending machines dish out junk science “food stuff” that causes cancer, diabetes, obesity, heart disease, and dementia, because it’s more or less toxic “pellets” for lab rats that don’t know any better, provided by Big Food.

Nothing in America creates more patients for life than Big Pharma’s partner in crime – junk food. And how does Big Pharma “manage the symptoms” of JFD (junk food disease)? Well, of course, by dispensing chemical junk-science drugs for the pain and anguish.

Even though you need a prescription from a medical doctor to get your hands and mouth on these toxic “vended” drugs, it doesn’t take much more than any given moron telling the doctor they’ve got pain, depression or anxiety, and voila, just like inserting a dollar and pushing a big button with a trademark symbol on it, the rat takes its medicine, and round and round it spins on the wheel called chronic sick care.

Deadly prescription drugs are CONVENIENT and easily obtained, just like vended junk food and soda

To grab a quick coke, a bag of chips, and a candy bar, you don’t need a brain at all, just pull out a couple one dollar bills (or your credit card) and insert into the hole with the blinking arrow. Then wait for a bleep noise, and push the buttons featuring the pictures of the items your taste buds and weeping belly are craving. Reach down into the bottom slot when the junk bags and cans drop, open the packaging, and shove or pour ingredients into mouth.

The power of the elements: Discover Colloidal Silver Mouthwash with quality, natural ingredients like Sangre de Drago sap, black walnut hulls, menthol crystals and more. Zero artificial sweeteners, colors or alcohol. Learn more at the Health Ranger Store and help support this news site.

To grab a quick fix of heroin (opiates), you don’t need a brain at all, just pull out your medical coverage card and insert it into the slit beneath the office clerk’s window in the waiting room at the doctor’s office. Then wait for your name to be called, follow the nurse to a special room, and when the doctor finally comes in, say, “I am depressed,” “I am stressed,” or “I have pain.” Some doctors even have their own medication vending machine (in-house pharmacy) so you don’t have to drive extra miles to a drug store.

Today’s medical doctors are not allowed to give nutritional advice, or the American Medical Association will come shut them down, and even if they were, they don’t know the right things to say, because they weren’t educated that way in medical college. So instead, M.D.s just sling experimental, addictive drugs at symptoms of deeper rooted sicknesses, along with immune-system-destroying antibiotics and carcinogenic vaccines.

That’s why any medicine that wrecks your health is easy to come by, just like junk food in vending machines. The money isn’t made off the “vending” products, the money is made off the sick fools who are repeat offenders and keep going back to the well for more poison – it’s called chronic sick care or symptom management. Fact: Prescription drugs are the fourth leading cause of death in America, even when “taken as directed.”

Doctors can all be replaced by robots since they don’t engage in any human behavior

Ever notice you’re not really allowed to speak your mind to a medical doctor? He or she will ask you a few questions, and as you begin complaining about your problems, they shut you up, run the stethoscope over your body, check your temperature, and blood pressure, and then it’s down to business as usual. “I’m going to write you two prescriptions, one for the (fill in pain, anxiety, or depression here), and one for the (fill in mucus, coughing, headache, inflammation, rash, or fever).”

You see, there’s really no intellectual discussion or human interaction necessary at all. Plus, you’ll probably just suggest some drugs you saw advertised on television, and the pill pusher will scribble his/her John Hancock on a little slip of paper and you’re all set. Well, just as easily, there could be medication vending machines all over the USA, where you just slide in your medical coverage card, push the buttons that have symbols and pictures of your health ills, wait for the happy beep, and grab your chemical drugs.

All the lab-made concoctions that never really heal anyone, but only do more harm (think junk food in vending machines here) could easily be dished out by machines, including blood thinner, cholesterol meds, SSRIs, opiate-based painkillers, ADD and ADHD drugs, insulin, and even the syringes full of vaccines and deadly flu shots. Does it really take someone with a medical degree to sling these out? After all, anyone can administer a mercury-loaded flu shot these days.

Got pain or anguish? Just put your dollars in the pharma-vendor (M.D.’s pocket) and push the panic button (simply say you have pain, anguish, or depression) and voila – your medication is dispensed by the med-vending-machine (they actually already have them in China). Addicted to cocaine, heroin, or fake news CNN? No problem. Just go to med-vendor and press “panic.” After all, medical doctors today are just glorified drug pushers making six figures. Go to to find out more about medication “vending” machines called American medical doctors.

The end is near? Antibiotic resistance to spell the end of chemical medicine

antibioticWill Big Pharma’s reign over the modern world of medical practice soon come to an end? England’s Chief Medical Officer, Professor Dame Sally Davies, has warned of a “post-antibiotic apocalypse.” According to Davies, widespread antibiotic resistance could be driving “the end of modern medicine” as we speak. The potential for a future without antibiotics continues to grow as antibiotic resistance spreads, health experts undoubtedly agree on that.  In fact, The Guardian reports that experts believe antibiotic resistance could soon become a bigger threat to human health than cancer.

Annual estimates suggest that some 700,000 people from around the world are killed by drug-resistant infections, including diseases like malaria and tuberculosis. By 2050, the number of lives lost to drug-resistant diseases is expected to rise to a staggering 10 million per year. As Davies contends, antibiotic resistance is already here, killing people. It’s not a theory about what may happen in the future — antibiotic resistance is spreading in the here-and-now, and it’s already taken countless lives. But many people don’t realize antibiotic resistance has already taken hold. Davies explained, “It does not really have a ‘face’ because most people who die of drug-resistant infections, their families just think they died of an uncontrolled infection. It will only get worse unless we take strong action everywhere across the globe. We need some real work on the ground to make a difference or we risk the end of modern medicine.”

Reducing the usage of antibiotics is essential to combating the spread of drug-resistant bacteria  — and natural remedies are clearly becoming one of the best options we have, even if the mainstream medical community is loath to admit it. While proponents of modern medicine are willing to admit relying on antibiotics so heavily comes with the hefty price of human life, few seem to acknowledge that natural remedies even exist. Indeed, there are many alternatives that could help reduce the burden of antibiotics.

Some of the most effective natural medicines include items that you can find in your own pantry, like garlic, manuka honey, echinacea, cinnamon, turmeric and cumin. These foods, along with countless other herbs and plant medicines, are highly regarded for their antibiotic, antiseptic and antimicrobial properties. And as Natural News writer Tracey Watson notes, these types of natural remedies are superior to prescription drugs in many ways. In addition to having fewer and less damaging side effects, it seems harmful pathogens have been unable to build resistance to nature’s medicines.

Of course, it is important to remember that antibiotic use in humans is not the sole driving force behind the spread of antibiotic resistance. Antibiotics in our food supply are a key part in the rise of drug-resistant bacteria and that fact simply cannot continue to go ignored.  In the livestock industry, antibiotics are often given to healthy animals to make them fat. The drugs are also supposedly used as a “preventive measure” to protect the animals from their unsanitary living conditions. Research has shown that organic-raised and grass-fed livestock are less likely to need antibiotics and organic livestock practices do not contribute to the spread of antibiotic resistance the way “conventional” farming does. In fact, the director of science programs for The Organic Center, Dr. Jessica Shade, says organic livestock production “provides a compelling example of successful, profitable operations and demonstrates the ability of livestock farms to operate without substantial antibiotic use.”

Fortunately, awareness of the threat posed by antibiotics in food is growing; many consumers are turning towards antibiotic-free foods, as are food producers. If the trend of turning away from antibiotics and looking towards a more natural way of living (and eating) continues, maybe the world won’t be in such bad shape, after all. Prescription painkillers kill far more people than heroin and cocaine

pillsA leading pathologist is warning that one prescription painkiller is causing more deaths than cocaine and heroin.

The expert, Prof. Jack Crane – Northern Ireland’s top pathologist – says Tramadol is currently “claiming more lives than any other drug,” and as such ought to be upgraded to the Class A category. Currently, the drug is listed as a Class C medication in the UK; Class C medications are deemed to be the least harmful.

When taken with other medications or mixed with alcohol, Crane said, the combination can be deadly. The drug is taken by thousands of people every day, the UK’s Daily Mail reported.

Tramadol is used to treat both moderate and severe pain. Its last reclassification in 2014 made it illegal to use without a prescription.

Others claim that the drug is safe if taken appropriately, but Crane still thinks it should be more tightly regulated. “I don’t think that people realise how potentially risky taking Tramadol is,” he told ITV News. “I think it’s because it’s a prescription drug – people assume it’s safe.”

Britain’s deadliest drug

Activists working to get the drug more tightly regulated, say that they believe a rising number of users are trying to get the drug via the black market. Crane says he believes more people will die unless there is a concerted effort by police and government agencies to crack down on illegal sales of Tramadol.

His warning comes on the heels of a report calling for the legalization of cannabis in the UK for medicinal use, the Daily Mail said. The controversial report, which was written by a cross-section of lawmakers and peers from various parties and interest groups, says that the British government should allow people with chronic illnesses to grow their own cannabis under license.

The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Drug Policy Reform said it would also like to see companies given permission to import or grow marijuana, as well as having lawmakers cut down legal controls and make it less regulated that most other painkillers.

A separate report in West Briton also quotes Crane, who called Tramadol the UK’s deadliest drug. The report said that in 2014, 240 deaths in Britain were linked to Tramadol.

Currently in the U.S. there is an opioid epidemic, and it, too, is a killer. But, as we reportedin September, U.S. healthcare makes it easier for opioid-addicted patients to get more medications at hospitals.

A report by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration found that 1-in-20 Americans abused prescription painkillers at some point in 2015. The agency found that some 119 million Americans aged 12 and older were on prescription psychotherapeutic medications – a term used in the report in reference to “pain relievers, tranquilizers, stimulants, and sedatives” – in 2015. The report noted further that painkillers were, by far, the most prescribed and abused.

Obamacare partly to blame for epidemic?

To produce the report, SAMHSA researchers employed an estimate derived from about 68,000 surveys. According to findings, “All estimates (e.g. percentages and numbers) presented in the report are derived from NSDUH [National Survey on Drug Use and Health] survey data.” SAMHSA also noted that the use of such medications over the past year was “fairly common” in the United States, with 44.5 percent of the population claiming to have used them at some point during 2015.

And while most of those who abused opioids and other psychotherapeutic drugs got them from family and friends, the second-most common method for obtaining them was via a primary care provider – either as a prescription or by stealing them from doctor’s offices.

Still others blame Obamacare. Under that law, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services allocates $1.5 billion in Medicare payments as a reward to hospitals based on patient satisfaction surveys. Some questions on survey forms include: “During this hospital stay, how often did the hospital staff do everything they could to help you with your pain?” and, “How often was your pain well controlled?”

So, patient satisfaction surveys, in essence, leave administrators with the choice between costing hospitals reimbursement dollars or fueling the opioid epidemic.

EVERYTHING IS RIGGED: Medicine, science, elections, the media, money, education, search engines, social media… you are living in a fabricated fairy tale

Business-Man-Science-Math-Equation-Chalkboard-Box-Confusion-QuestionsAfter witnessing how Reuters just blatantly cooked the presidential election polls this week to favor Clinton and how the mainstream media is so terrifyingly biased in favor of Clinton that the very foundation of democracy is now in crisis, it’s time to tell you something that perhaps a lot more people are finally ready to hear:

Every institution in America is sold out, corrupted and politically rigged to favor Big Government and Big Business. “America is a lost country,” explains Paul Craig Roberts. “The total corruption of every public and the private institution is complete. Nothing remains but tyranny. And lies. Endless lies.”

CNN, Reuters and the Associated Press are all now shameless promoters of every big lie across every sector of society, from vaccines and GMOs to elections and politics. The federal government itself is incapable of doing anything other than lying, and it has totally corrupted the entire realm of science by pulling the strings of funding via the National Institutes of Health and the NSF.

The FDA is entirely corrupt, as is the USDA. Both function now as little more than marketing propaganda pushers for Big Pharma and Big Biotech. Similarly, Google, Facebook and Twitter are all rigged, too, censoring the voices they don’t want anyone to hear while highlighting the establishment lies they wish to promote.

Here’s what “rigged” really means… the tools of tyranny

When I say “everything is rigged,” what does that mean, exactly?

• All “official sources” are ordered to constantly lie about everything, weaving illusions to push a chosen narrative rooted in fiction (from “there are no Islamic terrorists” to “carbon dioxide is poison to the planet”).

• All voices of reason and sanity are silenced. Only the most insane, irrational voices are allowed to be magnified through any media (including social media). This is also true across the sciences, where real science has been all but snuffed out by political agendas (biosludge, GMOs, glyphosate, mercury in dentistry, etc.).

• All facts are obliterated by propaganda. Facts have no place in any debate, and those who invoke facts are shamed and silenced (or even fired from their jobs, expelled from their schools or bullied into a state of suicide on social media). Anyone who invokes facts on things like the actual statistics of police shootings is told they are “part of the problem” because they have the “wrong attitude” about social justice.

• Every branch of government is weaponized against the people and used as an assault tool against political enemies who threaten the status quo. (IRS, FDA, FTC, DEA, EPA, USDA, etc.)

• All science is distorted into absurd, politically-motivated conclusions about everything the government wants to use to control the masses: Vaccines, climate change, GMOs, fluoride, flu shots, chemical agriculture, carbon dioxide and so on.

• Every branch of medicine is hijacked by globalist agendas to make sure medicine never makes anyone healthier, more alert or more cognitively capable of thinking for themselves.

• Every “news item” that’s reported from any official source is deliberately distorted to the point of insanity, turning many facts on their heads while attacking anyone who might offer something truly constructive to the world. (Such as reporting that Clinton was “cleared” by the FBI when, in fact, she was indicted by the very facts the FBI presented!)

• All voices of truth are silenced, then replaced by meaningless, distracting babble (Kardashians) or meaningless, tribal sports competitions (the Rio Olympics). The point is to dumb down the entire population to the point of cultural lunacy.

• Any true reports that contradict any official narrative are immediately censored. For example, radio host Michael Savage just got blocked by Facebook for posting a true story about an illegal alien who committed murder in America.

• Emotions are used as weapons to manipulate the masses. For example, when the mom of a Benghazi victim shares her grief with the world, she is ridiculed and shamed. But when a radical Muslim father who’s trying to bring Sharia Law to America attacks Trump by expressing his loss of his soldier son, the media turns him into an instant celebrity, praising his “courageous voice” for daring to speak out. The media hypocrisy is enough to make you vomit…

What exactly is rigged?

• The entire mainstream media
• Google search engine and Google News
• Facebook and Twitter
• The DNC and the RNC (both 100% rigged by globalists)
• Every federal agency (EPA, FDA, etc.)
• The entire justice system (makes a total farce of real justice)
• Interest rates and the value of the money supply (central banksters)
• Academia (all public universities)
• EPA’s “safe” limits on pesticides (all rigged by Big Biotech)
• Food and food labeling (all run by corrupt food companies)
• Public education (rigged into Common Core anti-knowledge idiocy)
• Banking and finance (all controlled by globalists)
• Government economics figures and statistics
• Medicine and pharmaceuticals (rigged to maximize profits)
• Big Science (totally rigged by government agenda pushers)
• The music industry (most top singers can’t sing at all)
• Weapons manufacturers and war corporations
• The illegal drug trade (it’s run by the government)
• Political elections (all 100% rigged at the federal level)
• Political polls (now rigged by Reuters, too)
• The health insurance industry (rigged by Obamacare)
• College admissions (legally discriminates against Whites and Asians)
• 9/11 and domestic terrorism (all rigged “official stories”)
• Oil and energy industries
• The rule of law (rigged in favor of the rich and powerful)
• Infectious disease and the CDC (a constant stream of lies)
• Hollywood (all run by globalists)
• Climate change science (all a grand science hoax)
• Press release services (they only allow official narratives)
• History (what you are taught is mostly a lie)
• Government grants (only given out to those who further the agenda)
• Government bids (only awarded to those who kick back funds to corrupt officials)
• Consciousness and free will (we are all taught consciousness doesn’t exist)
• Ethnobotany (medicinal and spiritual use of healing plants)
• Life on other plants (the obvious truth is kept from us all)
• The origin of the universe (the official narrative is a laughable fairy tale)

As a fantastic example of how everything is rigged, consider these paragraphs from this news story published today:

Over the weekend and for the past few days since Khan spoke alongside his wife Ghazala Khan about their son, U.S. Army Captain Humayun Khan, who was killed in Iraq in 2004, media-wide reporters, editors, producers, and anchors have tried to lay criticism on Trump over the matter. They thought they had a good one, a specific line of attack that pitted Trump against the military—and supposedly showed him as a big meanie racist in the process.

But, as Breitbart News showed on Monday midday, that clearly was not the case. Khizr Khan has all sorts of financial, legal, and political connections to the Clintons through his old law firm, the mega-D.C. firm Hogan Lovells LLP. That firm did Hillary Clinton’s taxes for years, starting when Khan still worked there involved in, according to his own website, matters “firm wide”—back in 2004. It also has represented, for years, the government of Saudi Arabia in the United States. Saudi Arabia, of course, is a Clinton Foundation donor which—along with the mega-bundlers of thousands upon thousands in political donations to both of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaigns in 2008 and 2016—plays right into the “Clinton Cash” narrative.

America’s transformation into Communist China is nearly complete

If you’re pondering where all this is headed, look no further than Communist China, where all independent news has been outlawed by the state. Political prisoners across China have their organs harvested to enrich black market organ traders, and nearly one out of every three urban citizens is a secret spy who snitches on friends for the totalitarian communist government.

Hillary Clinton is the embodiment of Communist Chinese totalitarianism. She’s such a perfect fit for their disastrous model of human rights abuses, government corruption and systemic criminality that I’m surprised she doesn’t live in Beijing. If Clinton gets elected, America is gone forever, replaced by a criminal regime of totalitarians who violate the RICO Act as a matter of policy.

If this entire rigged system of biased media, Facebook censorship, Google search result manipulations and twisted science ends up putting America’s most terrifying political criminal into the White House, it’s lights out for the American we once knew. Almost immediately, the nation fractures into near Civil War, with calls for secession growing unstoppable as state after state seeks to escape the political wrath of an insane regime of D.C. criminals and tyrants. #TEXIT

We now live in two Americas: Half the country is tired of everything being rigged, and the other half can’t wait to be exploited by yet another crooked leftist LIAR who rigs everything

America is now essentially two nations. On one hand, we have the pro-Trump America, filled with people who are tired of being cheated, censored, punished, stolen from and lied to about everything under the sun. Donald Trump supporters are people who realize everything is rigged… and they’re demanding an end to the corruption and criminality of the fascist system under which we all suffer today.

Hillary Clinton supporters are people who are too busy chasing political rainbows to realize everything is rigged. They still believe the lies and the propaganda (the “hope and change” that never came, but is still promised by empty politicians). They’re living in fairy tale delusional worlds that have been woven into their gullible minds by the skillful social engineers of the radical left. These people still think the government cares about them… or that CNN only reports truthful news. They can’t wait to see another globalist in the White House because they are pathetic, weak-minded empty shells of non-consciousness who are wholly incapable of thinking for themselves.

These two camps of Americans can no longer coexist. They have almost nothing in common when it comes to knowledge, wisdom, ethics, morals or philosophy. One camp believes in the rule of law (Trump); the other camp believes that people in power should be above the law (Clinton). One camp believes in states’ rights and individual liberty (Trump) while the other camp believes in the consolidation of totalitarian power in the hands of a centralized, domineering government (Clinton). One camp believes in a level playing field, free market competition and rewarding innovation and hard work (Trump), while the other camp believes in free handouts, government “equality” mandates, and the ludicrous idea that “there should be no winners or losers in society.” (Clinton)

In other to try to win this election, the Clinton camp has already rigged EVERYTHING from the very start, including the coronation of Hillary, the scheduling of televised debates to minimize their viewership, the surrender of Bernie Sanders to the DNC machine, the mass organization of illegal voting schemes to make sure illegal aliens vote in November, and so much more. No doubt they’re also working extremely hard to rig the black box voting machines all across the country.

If you’re tired of everything being rigged, this November vote against the rigged system by voting for Donald Trump. This is truly your last chance to save America from being overthrown by a totalitarian regime of criminals who will crush every last iota of freedom and liberty in America.

OUTRAGE: Big Pharma ordered to pay $70M after concealing adverse effects of cancer drugs and misleading doctors

Court-Law-Gavel-RulingIn a case that clearly illustrates the extent of corruption, callousness and greed on the part of Big Pharma’s cancer industry, two drug companies have been ordered to pay nearly $70 million to settle a federal lawsuit over charges that the companies lied about the effectiveness of a cancer drug.

The two companies, Genentech and OSI Pharmaceuticals, agreed to pay $67 million to avoid further litigation over its deceptive marketing of Tarceva, a drug used to treat non-small-cell lung cancer.

From the Los Angeles Times:

“The lawsuit claimed that from 2006 to 2011 Genentech and its marketing partner OSI Pharmaceuticals promoted Tarceva to treat all patients with non-small-cell lung cancer even though studies had shown that it worked for just those who had never smoked or had a certain gene mutation known as EGFR. Epidermal growth factor receptor is a type of protein found on the surface of cells in the body.”

A former Genentech employee, Brian Shields, filed the whistleblower suit in 2011 after his employers refused to acknowledge his concerns regarding the marketing of the ineffective drug. Shields said that he faced retaliation from his superiors after voicing his concerns and was told that he was not a “team player.”

Lies and bribes

Details of the lawsuit reveal the unscrupulous and illegal marketing techniques employed by the drug maker, which almost certainly led to the early deaths of patients who received treatment involving the useless drug.

“The lawsuit said the companies gave their sales representatives promotional materials that discouraged doctors from testing patients for EGFR.

“The companies also promoted Tarceva, the lawsuit said, by giving doctors illegal kickbacks disguised as fees for making speeches or serving on Genentech’s advisory boards.

“Sales representatives across the country were ‘instructed to spend lavishly’ on physicians, the case said, and given ‘an unlimited budget to wine and dine.’

“Genentech also organized lunches or dinners for lung cancer patients where ‘patient ambassadors’ were paid fees to speak about how Tarceva could be used in ways never approved by regulators, the lawsuit said.”

“This is about lives”

Under the terms of the False Claims Act, the federal government will receive $62.6 million of the settlement, State Medicaid programs will get $4.4 million and Shields and his lawyers will share the remaining $10 million.

“This is about lives,” said whistleblower Shields, a former Army helicopter pilot. “”Hopefully this will have a lasting effect and improve cancer care.”

From a Justice Department statement:

“Pharmaceutical companies have a responsibility to provide accurate information to patients and health care providers about their prescription drugs. The Department of Justice will hold these companies accountable that mislead the public about the efficacy of the products.”

Unfortunately, drug manufacturers have a history of ignoring their “responsibility” to patients and the healthcare industry – there have been numerous cases of fraudulent marketing, falsified study results and bribery on the part of drug makers.

Profits vs. people

Big Pharma has shown that it will stop at nothing in the pursuit of profits. It’s clear that the “cancer industry” has no interest in curing anyone – human lives and ethics are far less important than dollars to these greedy and soulless criminals.

The profits raked in by Big Pharma are absolutely staggering. It’s important to understand what kind of money we’re actually talking about.

“Big Pharma’s top eleven corporations generated net profits in just one decade from 2003 to 2012 of nearly three quarters of a trillion dollars – that’s just net profit alone. The net profit for 2012 amongst those top eleven amounted to $85 billion in just that one year.”

If it weren’t for the courage of whistleblowers like Brian Shields, Big Pharma would simply continue its corrupt practices virtually unchecked – after all, the FDA and other regulatory agencies have been bought out by the drug industry and do little to protect the public from the fraudulent marketing of useless and dangerous medications.

If enough people come forward and speak out, as Shields did, we might begin to see changes in the way Big Pharma conducts business – but don’t hold your breath…

Taking Tylenol can dull your ability to care about others, research reveals

spirin-Pills-Medicine-RX-On-WhiteTylenol doesn’t just dull your perception of physical pain, it also dulls your ability to relate to the physical and emotional pain of others. In other words, Tylenol affects your ability to show empathy, according to a pair of studies conducted by researchers from Ohio State University and published in the journal Social Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience.

The studies were conducted using the active ingredient in Tylenol, a chemical known as acetaminophen or paracetamol.

“These findings suggest other people’s pain doesn’t seem as big of a deal to you when you’ve taken acetaminophen,” researcher Dominik Mischkowski said.

“Acetaminophen can reduce empathy as well as serve as a painkiller.”

Less aware of EVERYONE’S pain

Acetaminophen is the most commonly taken drug in the United States, according to the industry group Consumer Healthcare Products Association. In any given week, about 52 million adults – 23 percent of the adult population – take one or more of the 600 products containing the drug.

Yet the mechanisms by which Tylenol dulls pain remain poorly understood.

In the first new study, researchers assigned 80 college students to drink a liquid that either did or did not contain 1,000 mg of acetaminophen. They were not told which group they were in. An hour later, the participants read eight short vignettes involving someone suffering emotional or physical pain, such as the death of a father or a knife cut down to the bone. The participants then rated the pain of participants, along with their emotional feelings of being pained, hurt or wounded, on a scale of 1 to 5.

Participants who had taken acetaminophen rated both the emotional and physical pain in the stories as significantly lower than those in the placebo group.

Prior research has shown that the same regions of the brain light up when experiencing pain and when imagining that of others.

Tylenol blunts emotions, moral reasoning

The followup study had a similar setup, involving 114 college students. First, the participants were exposed to two seconds of a white noise blast ranging from 75 to 105 decibels (100 decibels is about as loud as a motorcycle engine, and loud enough to cause hearing damage with long exposure). They rated the unpleasantness of the sound on a scale of 1 to 10. They were then asked to rate how unpleasant another person would likely find the noise.

Participants in the acetaminophen group answered both questions with lower ratings than people in the placebo group.

“Acetaminophen reduced the pain they felt, but it also reduced their empathy for others who were experiencing the same noise blasts,” Mischkowski said.

The participants were then brought into the same room to socialize briefly with each other, so that they were no longer total strangers. They were then separated again and, individually, watched an online game supposedly involving three of the people they had just met (this was not true). In the faked game, two people ganged up on and excluded the third player.

The participants were asked to rate how much pain and hurt feelings each player in the game had experienced. Again, the participants in the acetaminophen group rated the pain of the excluded player as significantly lower than those in the placebo group did.

“We don’t know why acetaminophen is having these effects, but it is concerning,” senior author Baldwin Way said.

“Empathy is important. If you are having an argument with your spouse and you just took acetaminophen, this research suggests you might be less understanding of what you did to hurt your spouse’s feelings.”

The study is only the latest to show that Tylenol has disturbing effects on emotion and information processing. Prior research by the same team showed that acetaminophen also reduced people’s ability to feel positive emotions. Other studies have shown that acetaminophen makes people’s emotional reactions more neutral in general, that it blunts the sense of indignation that underlies moral judgment, and that it reduces people’s ability to detect their own cognitive errors.

The mind-blowing criminal racket of the FDA: hiding prescription dangers from the public so the politically connected elite can make millions

Money-FDA-ApprovedIn a new report by Health Ranger Mike Adams, former FDA commissioner Margaret Hamburg has been named in a massive conspiracy lawsuit involving Johnson & Johnson, a Wall Street hedge fund and the commonly prescribed drug Levaquin.

As reported by Natural News, the former head of the FDA is accused of using the federal agency to run a massive conspiracy in order to generate millions of dollars in drug company profits for her husband’s hedge fund firm – according to the lawsuit filed in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

Hamburg is accused of having engaged in a wide-ranging conspiracy whilst acting as FDA commissioner – approving an extremely dangerous drug known to cause severe and even deadly side effects, called Levaquin.

Problems with Levaquin

According to DrugWatch, Levaquin is an inherently dangerous and actually deadly antibiotic that has been linked to aortic dissections, or tears, and aneurysms. These conditions weaken the walls of the aorta and may lead to a rupture of leak – which can often be life-threatening.

Levaquin has also been linked to permanent, painful nerve damage known as peripheral neuropathy and tendon ruptures that have been known to leave people disabled. During Hamburg’s tenure as FDA Commissioner from 2009 to 2014, more than 5,000 people died as a result of consuming Levaquin and other dangerous drugs that were approved by the FDA and sold by Johnson & Johnson.

Thousands of others are suffering and dying from the dangerous side effects of Levaquin, suffering debilitating, life-threatening illnesses as a result.

Hamburg and her conspiracy

It is thought that Hamburg made the decision to approve this drug in order to financially benefit her husband’s hedge fund, which held very large financial positions in Johnson & Johnson, between the years of 2009 to 2015.

As reported by Natural News, the lawsuit alleges that over 5,000 people died as a result of this greedy, selfish decision to protect her husband’s financial position rather than allow the plaintiffs and the general public to know more about the dangers of the drug being prescribed on a daily basis.

Meanwhile, as reported by Blacklisted News, it is thought that Hamburg actually bribed her way into the FDA by paying off Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. The lawsuit regarding the alleged conspiracy also accuses Hamburg of giving President Obama “gratuities” and Hillary Clinton “political contributions,” leading to her being nominated for the position at Mrs. Clinton’s recommendation.

Natural antibiotics

So with all that said about Big Pharma, the dangers of antibiotics and the fact that you can’t trust a drug approved by the FDA, what are the alternatives to taking antibiotics when you have a bacterial infection?
Most people are prescribed an antibiotic at some point or another, but there are several natural alternatives that will do the same job.

For example, oregano and the oil found in this common herb have been found to fight bacteria that cause digestive infections and certain yeast infections. Meanwhile, certain types of honey – in particular Manuka honey – are known for their healing properties and have the ability to fight infection.

The latest scandal involving the FDA shows that the phrase “FDA-approved” means little when it comes to the safety of Big Pharma drugs – and we should take measures to avoid taking these drugs whenever possible, for the good of our health.

Commonly prescribed pharmaceuticals make people angry, violent and more likely to kill, researchers discover

Crazy-Chemist-Chemicals-Experiment-LabFeeling irritable, paranoid or even violent lately? Before you blame other life triggers like your job, money problems or your significant other, you may want to examine your prescription drug regimen, as it could be changing you in more ways than you realize.

Close to 70 percent of Americans are taking at least one prescription drug and more than 50 percent are prescribed two or more, according to numbers released in 2013 by Mayo Clinic, meaning that it’s probably even higher today.

Prescription drug use rose from 44 percent in 1999 – 2000 to 48 percent in 2007 – 2008. While the most common pharmaceuticals in use today include antibiotics, antidepressants and painkiller opioids, another drug is on the rise: statins, a class of drug routinely prescribed to help lower cholesterol levels in the blood.

More than 35 million Americans may be on a drug that causes violent, suicidal and homicidal behavior, and it’s not antidepressants

About 25 million Americans are currently taking statins, and under new guidelines issued in November, another 13 million may be eligible for the cholesterol-lowering drug.

While touted as being nothing short of a miracle for preventing heart attacks and stroke, a new study says statins may cause some pretty scary side effects including “aggressive, violently jealous, suicidal or even homicidal behavior.”

Researchers from the University of California found a link between statins and aggression, particularly in postmenopausal women over 45-years-old. Interestingly, women who were innately calm exhibited the most aggressive behavior when on statins.

A separate study out of Pennsylvania State University found that women taking birth control pills were more jealous (to the point of violence) towards their partners.

Men, on the other hand, were much less likely to exhibit “large increases in aggression,” says professor Beatrice Golomb, who led the statin research.

Statins not just for lowering cholesterol, but also used for acne, asthma and birth control

Published in the journal PLOS One, the study suggests that lower levels of cholesterol in the brain could be to blame for aggressive behavior, as the waxy fat-like substance enables brain cells to communicate, and can be adversely affected when lowered.

Proof of this lies in the case of violent prison inmates, many of which have lower levels of brain cholesterol.

“Professor Golomb says statins raise testosterone and cause sleep problems, which could tend to make people prone to irritability and aggression,” The Daily Mail reports.

Golomb has uncovered several cases in which individuals acted aggressive and violent after taking statins, including one instance in which a 59-year-old man, who had no prior history of violence, began chasing his wife, threatening to kill her. Six weeks after quitting the drug he returned to his “normal, placid self.”

David Healy, professor of psychiatry at Bangor University and an expert in the field of dangerous side-effects caused by common drugs, found that with the statin Lipitor, there were 310 reports of aggression and violence and 62 reports of homicidal behavior.

There were 309 reports of irritability, 256 reports of personality change and 68 of paranoia.
Here you may find a list of commonly prescribed statins.

Another article by The Daily Mail asks whether the benefits of statins have been exaggerated based on new evidence showing they aren’t as safe as Big Pharma claims.

While they’ve reduce cholesterol levels, they’ve “failed to substantially improve cardiovascular outcomes,” according to a review of clinical trial data. Many “studies” have failed to note serious side-effects including the ones discussed here.

In terms of psychological effects, the only consequences of statins listed are memory loss, confusion and amnesia, but there’s absolutely no mention of suicidal and homicidal behavior.

The lack of information on, or rather the intent to hide, the more serious side-effects of statins is seriously concerning considering the number of Americans on the drug is about to be greatly increased under the new guidelines.

Western medicine abandoning all medical ethics: forced vaccinations, abortion profiteering and the silencing of dissenters

Man-Silence-Tape-Mouth-Censored-SunglassesThe country that our Founding Fathers envisioned — one that champions freedom of religion, freedom of speech and individual liberty — is rapidly turning into a totalitarian police state of the type from which these brave men fled, both medically and socially. Americans are losing their right to eat clean food (e.g. The DARK Act), choose their own doctors (Obamacare), and even make their own medical decisions (forced vaccinations), among many other escalating restrictions on liberty.

There is a demon under every rock, it seems, as corrupt politicians working on behalf of powerful corporations strip us all of our right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness as provisioned in the Constitution. But because of the way the national conversation is being framed, many Americans have been tricked into believing that these federal power-grabs are actually working on our behalf when government cronies attempt to outlaw mandatory GMO labeling, for instance, or restrict the types of treatments available to cancer patients.

What this scenario amounts to from a health and medicine perspective is a total abandonment of all medical ethics, which more people need to realize is a bedrock of freedom. If individuals aren’t free to eat healthy foods and choose how best to treat themselves when they become ill (rather than be told what to do by Pharma payrolled doctors), then they’re nothing more than slaves to the fascist state. And this is where we increasingly find ourselves as legislators piss away our right not to vaccinate or speak out against institutionalized quackery like chemotherapy in exchange for a few bucks from Big Pharma.

“As a board certified cardiologist who runs a holistic practice, the ability and right to help patients outside of the guidelines must be maintained,” writes Dr. Jack Wolfson of Arizona, who in recent months has experienced his own persecution by the medical-industrial complex for speaking out against the dangers of childhood vaccinations, including Senate Bills SB 277 and SB 792 in California.

“Should all cancer patients be coerced to undergo chemotherapy or radiation if it is against their will? Should statin drugs be mandatory? Do we really want to live in a country where there is only one medical opinion and that opinion is crafted by pharmaceutical companies and doctors on its payroll?”

Mainstream medicine driven by greed, control and eugenics

Ever since the manufactured Disneyland measles outbreak made global headlines, establishment doctors and health authorities have been demanding that parents no longer have the option to reject vaccines for their children. It doesn’t seem to matter to these control freaks that vaccines permanently injure and even kill some children because they’ve bought into the lie that everyone needs to be vaccinated in order to establish the mythical “herd immunity.”

This is just one example where freedom of choice is being sacrificed on the altar of political correctness and medical mythology. In more recent days, Planned Parenthood was exposed as a baby chop-shop operation where aborted human tissue and vital organs are being sold illegally to biotech firms that use such materials to develop new pharmaceuticals and vaccines.

Though such vile activity is prohibited under federal law, constituting a felony crime, Planned Parenthood executives have yet to be prosecuted for their gross misdeeds. And virtually none of the folks who are calling for parents to be punished or even imprisoned for refusing vaccinations seem to have anything to say about this taxpayer-funded, pro-abortion group exploiting murdered babies for profit.

This is the New American way, unfortunately — whatever makes the fat cats the most amount of money, even if it costs precious human life, is open game. And speaking out against it, well, that’s off limits.

Medicine’s Hidden Roots in an Ancient Manuscript

02COVERMANUSCRIPT1-master675The first time Grigory Kessel held the ancient manuscript, its animal-hide pages more than 1,000 years old, it seemed oddly familiar.

A Syriac scholar at Philipps University in Marburg, Germany, Dr. Kessel was sitting in the library of the manuscript’s owner, a wealthy collector of rare scientific material in Baltimore. At that moment, Dr. Kessel realized that just three weeks earlier, in a library at Harvard University, he had seen a single orphaned page that was too similar to these pages to be coincidence.

The manuscript he held contained a hidden translation of an ancient, influential medical text by Galen of Pergamon, a Greco-Roman physician and philosopher who died in 200 A.D. It was missing pages and Dr. Kessel was suddenly convinced one of them was in Boston.

Dr. Kessel’s realization in February 2013 marked the beginning of a global hunt for the other lost leaves, a search that culminated in May with the digitization of the final rediscovered page in Paris.

Scholars are just beginning to pore over the text, the oldest known copy of Galen’s “On the Mixtures and Powers of Simple Drugs.” It may well provide new insights into medicine’s roots and into the spread of this new science across the ancient world.

“On so many levels it’s important,” said Peter Pormann, a Graeco-Arabic expert at the University of Manchester who now leads a study of the text.

The manuscript held by Dr. Kessel that day was a palimpsest: older text covered up by newer writing. It was a common practice centuries ago, a medieval form of recycling. In this case, 11th-century Syrian scribes had scraped away Galen’s medical text and had overwritten hymns on the parchment.

The hymn book itself is of interest, but for now it is the original text, all but invisible to the naked eye and known as the undertext, that has captured the imagination of scholars.

For centuries, Galen’s “Simple Drugs” was required reading for aspiring physicians, the summation of ancient knowledge about medicine, patient care and pharmaceutical plants. Galen described a root that cures “roughness of the throat” and recommended hemp as an earache remedy that “does not produce flatulence” (though it “dries out the semen”).

Much of “Simple Drugs” was eventually translated into Syriac, a form of Aramaic used by Middle Eastern Christian communities. The undertext of the manuscript in Baltimore, most likely from the ninth century A.D., is a copy of the first Syriac translation, itself painstakingly completed in the sixth century A.D. by Sergius of Reshaina, a Syriac physician and priest.

“Today, it doesn’t look to be special when somebody translates one language to another, but in those days, it was indeed a great achievement,” Dr. Kessel said. “He had to create vocabulary, to find Syriac words to correspond to this Greek medical vocabulary.”

By the sixth century, Syriac-speaking Christians were spreading east from Turkey through Syria, Iraq and Iran. They needed translations of Greek scholarly work, partly to support missionary work like running hospitals.

“Simple Drugs” was a large work, an 11-book treatise. Sergius’s translations of Galen’s text were copied and recopied for centuries, and eventually became a bridge for moving the medical expertise of the ancient Greeks to Islamic societies. Syriac texts were much easier than Greek ones to translate into Arabic.

As Muslim influence grew in the Near and Middle East, Christian populations dwindled, and so did Syriac. “These great Christian cultures that used it suffered so much,” said Columba Stewart, the executive director of the Hill Museum and Manuscript Library in Collegeville, Minn.

“By the time you have modern scholarship, these ancient Syriac cultures are just a vestige of their former selves — often quite isolated from Western culture, so there’s not a lot of awareness.”

Revealing Reading

Little is known of the history of the manuscript in Baltimore, formally known as the Syriac Galen Palimpsest, from its recycling in the 11th century until the 1920s, when it was sold to a private collector in Germany. After that, the manuscript fell again from public view until 2002, when it was purchased by a collector in a private sale. He has not been publicly identified.

In 2009, the Galen Palimpsest was lent to the Walters Art Museum for spectral imaging of its leaves by an independent group of specialists, which would reveal the erased Galen undertext. Each page is photographed digitally at extremely high resolution with varying colors and configurations of light, which in various ways illuminate the inks, grooves from writing and parchment itself. Computer algorithms exploit these variations to maximize the visibility of the undertext.

The resulting images went online under a “creative commons” license, meaning that anyone can use the material free for any noncommercial purpose. Once the images were online, William Noel, who was the curator of manuscripts and rare books at the museum, began organizing members of the tiny community of scholars who study Syriac scientific texts to study the new material.

One of them was Dr. Kessel, who was on a fellowship at Harvard’s Dumbarton Oaks Research Library in Washington. Eventually, Michael B. Toth, a systems engineer who managed the imaging work arranged for him to see the Galen Palimpsest for himself.

“I couldn’t even imagine how it looked,” Dr. Kessel said. “Then when I saw the manuscript, I had the kind of déjà vu impression that I had already seen it. And then I recalled the single folio in the Harvard library.”

Filling the Gaps

By analyzing the page size, handwriting and other features, as well as the visible text, Dr. Kessel was able to determine that the Harvard leaf did indeed fill one of the gaps in the Galen Palimpsest. But six more were apparently missing. Dr. Kessel set out to find them.

He began with a list of 10 libraries known to have ancient Syriac material, combing through online catalogs when available to look for clues such as the right dimensions or vague references to undertext. Sometimes, he traveled to the libraries himself.

It was not long before Dr. Kessel had good news. He found one missing page in a catalog from the Sacred and Imperial Monastery of the God-Trodden Mount of Sinai. It is known more commonly as St. Catherine’s in the Sinai Desert in Egypt, which has the world’s oldest continuously operating library.

Another leaf turned up at the National Library of France in Paris. And at the Vatican’s vast library in Rome, he was able to identify the other three missing leaves, bringing the total to six.

The seventh missing page is believed to have been blank and was probably discarded.

An Intriguing Link

No one knew how much of ”Simple Drugs” might be hidden in the Galen Palimpsest. The only other known Syriac copy resides at the British Library in London and includes only Books 6 to 8. Translations of these later books in the series are the most common, because they contain more specific medicinal information and details about the properties of plants.

But as their preliminary studies progressed, Dr. Kessel and his colleagues spotted words from Books 2 and 4 in one of the loose leaves. The full text of “Simple Drugs” is known to scholars, but only from more recent translations in languages other than Syriac.

“This was something absolutely unexpected,” he said.

Siam Bhayro, a specialist in early Jewish studies at the University of Exeter in England, had believed that Sergius must have translated the earlier books, but there had been no proof. When he heard that Dr. Kessel might have found pages from the early translations, “I was almost dancing up and down,” he said.

Another of Dr. Kessel’s intriguing discoveries was a note in Arabic on the first leaf, indicating that the manuscript — by then a hymn book concealing Galen’s text — had been donated to the brothers of the Sinai monastery, a reference to St. Catherine’s.

How it left the monastery is unclear: Particularly in the early 20th century, some of the library’s holdings were borrowed legitimately, while others were stolen by visitors hoping to make private sales.

The independent imaging team is now finishing the work necessary to add the rediscovered leaves to the digital collection. But translating and studying the Syriac text revealed in the images will take much longer, perhaps five years or more. That work is now underway because of a recent $1.5 million grant from the United Kingdom’s Arts and Humanities Research Council.

Scholars are eager to compare the Syriac material to existing copies of “Simple Drugs” written in Greek, all of which appear to be centuries younger than the Galen Palimpsest and much further removed from the original.

As texts went through multiple rounds of copying, they underwent significant changes. A scribe might remove parts that seemed unimportant or add material based on new knowledge. Comparing the Galen Palimpsest and the British Syriac copy, for instance, could offer telling insights into how the ancient Greeks treated the ill and how these remedies spread across the Middle East.

“Some of the stuff is not entirely scientific by our standards,” even if it enabled progress, Dr. Petit said. Indeed, little of Galen’s advice would stand up to modern scrutiny. Like other ancient physicians, he believed health was controlled by the balance of four “humors” in the body and recommended certain stones for their cleansing powers.

“The Galenic system is completely bonkers,” Dr. Bhayro said.

Still, it was the best thinking available in an era in which the very idea of medical science was relatively new.

“It’s likely to be a central text once it’s fully deciphered,” said Dr. Pormann of the University of Manchester. “We might discover things we really can’t dream of yet.”
